Civic Engagement

Civic Engagement

Building Knowledge. Strengthening Community Voice.

Civic Engagement helps community members understand how public decisions are made, how those decisions affect everyday life, and how to participate in ways that reflect their values and community priorities.

Our work is nonpartisan. We do not tell people which candidates or political parties to support. We provide accessible information, reduce barriers to participation, and create opportunities for community members to build knowledge, ask questions, strengthen leadership, and make their voices heard.

THE EXPERIENCE

Activities May Include

Civic Knowledge

  • Nonpartisan voter education
  • Information about public systems and decision-making
  • Issue education and community advocacy

Participation

  • Voter registration
  • Opportunities to communicate with public officials
  • Connections to civic resources and participation opportunities

Community Voice & Leadership

  • Community conversations and listening sessions
  • Leadership development

Participation Starts With Access and Knowledge.

Communities most affected by public decisions have often faced barriers to information, access, representation, and influence. Civic Engagement supports people in building the knowledge, relationships, and confidence needed to participate in decisions that shape their lives.

CONNECTED BY DESIGN

Rooted in Community

Ubuntu Rooted works with community, not simply for community. Civic Engagement creates opportunities for people to build knowledge, ask questions, strengthen leadership, and participate in the decisions that affect their everyday lives.

The work is nonpartisan and centered on accessible information, community voice, and meaningful participation.
