Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing

Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing

Healing Through Connection. Growing Through Community.

Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing is a culturally specific wellness program created for women of color to connect, reflect, learn, and strengthen well-being in community.

Women of color often carry responsibilities across their families, workplaces, and communities while having limited opportunities to focus on their own needs. The program creates an affirming space where participants can pause, build relationships, explore the interconnected areas of wellness, and identify realistic ways to care for themselves.

Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing is grounded in the belief that when a woman has the space and support to heal and strengthen her wellness, that impact reaches far beyond one person. Women touch every part of community life. They may be parents, spouses or partners, relatives, friends, employees, business owners, caregivers, neighbors, organizers, and community leaders. Supporting their wellness can strengthen families, workplaces, neighborhoods, organizations, and entire communities.

Wellness Is Shaped by More Than Individual Choices.

Wellness is shaped by more than individual choices. Culture, identity, relationships, responsibilities, access to resources, and the systems people navigate all matter. Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing honors those realities while helping participants notice what they carry, understand what affects their wellness, and choose actions that support greater balance, connection, and care. When women are supported in caring for themselves, the care, knowledge, leadership, and connection they bring to the world can also grow stronger.

CONNECTED BY DESIGN

Rooted in Community

Ubuntu Rooted works with community, not simply for community.

Building a Sisterhood Through Collective Healing recognizes that culture, identity, relationships, and lived experiences shape how people experience wellness. The program is grounded in culturally responsive connection and the belief that individual well-being and community well-being are interconnected.
